Heartquake Poem – Rashel Thapa

Earthquake! Earthquake!

I feel this is my last day on earth.
I see dust coming from the destruction of houses
and people roaming here and there trying to save themselves
I hear horrible noises, people are crying and shouting
I touch the ground and sit there.
I smell rotten things which are deep inside the dirt.
I taste dust and fear.

Earthquake

Dark and terrifying day,
with the helpless and hopeless people,
saying their prayers to God.

I feel like crying, screaming
I see houses falling, people shouting
the whole land shaking and the country changing

Heartquake Poem – Saraswoti Thapaliya

Earthquake! Earthquake!

Saturday is a holiday,
and full of happiness.
Earthquake came suddenly
with fears and tears.
Kids start running here and there,
trying to find safe place.

Old women and kids were crying
it was very hard to control them.

Earthquake!

This cloudy evening
The Earth started shaking, which I hate
but in some ways
it was good to have
different experience-
Heart rush that shaded my happy face
dusty and dirty place.

Heartquake Poem – Sarika Bohara

Earthquake! Earthquake!

It was the Saturday
I was sleeping in the bed
I saw the ground moving
in shaking, trembling way
And not stopping.

All our people are sitting
in a sun
All are people are
having fun
Sharing their feelings.
Then suddenly I saw the
ground trembling like
the colombus we play in fun park
Round! Round! Round

Quake! Quake! Quake!
Please stop zooming
People have been screaming!

Earthquake

There was an earthquake
that came like a disaster
that I hate so much.

An old noisy town
people scream their fear.
Ouch ! oh! oh!

Heartquake Poem – Sarita Gurung

Earthquake! Earthquake!

The trauma occurred on Saturday
It was kind of a gloomy day
I was confused
Because the trauma was so huge
It was my first time feeling the quake
Trauma occurred suddenly, what the heck?
Trauma is not a fairy fantasy
Because it is so scary
It made me fearful
But remember people were careful
The moment was very tough
But later, being saved I could laugh.
Earthquake day was very bad
It made the people sad.

Earthquake! Earthquake!

It was our holiday
But suddenly the earthquake came,
I saw collapsed houses,
people crying, shouting and
running around.

a dog was barking
It was really sad for me.
Many people met death
Many children lost their parents.

Earthquake is coming and going

Heartquake Poem – Alisha Thapa Magar

Earthquake! Earthquake!

It was Saturday
A cloudy day.
Suddenly the power had gone out
people had also gone out,
left their houses.

It was the weather
I hate so much.
I listen to the voices
of help and cries of people outside
It was stinky weather due to dust and smoke.

It has made great
changes in our life.
Some people lost their hope that day
But as for me it can still be beautiful.

Earthquake! Earthquake!

It’s the black day
Everywhere people are
shouting and crying
It is shaking our land.
