Before the earthquake, I was reading for my exam and after reading I felt sleepy, so Sarika and I were sleeping in the downstairs room. Ramraj bro was calling us to clean the tank and after sleeping I felt that something was happening and suddenly I woke up. I thought that Ramraj bro was shaking us to make us awake but it was an earthquake. Sarika sis tried to open the door but she couldn’t. Instead, she fell behind and she cried. Jalpa sis, Ramraj bro, Dikshya sis, Ashwini sis and Anita were outside the door and some were crying but I could not notice who was crying. On Saturday at 11:56 we felt a big earthquake. Even after the big hit we felt many hits but they were smaller than the first hit. We heard that a 7.9 Richter earthquake occurred. When we all gathered together we went to one open place. We were very scared and thinking about our family members. Half of the phones and network was not working. Punti was with us too. She gave a bit of trouble by fighting with the other dogs. We found that the vegetable market was full of people and many houses were cracked. We decided to sit on the ground of the Euro School and at 4:00 Bec, Nimu and Bandana came there. We were happy to see them. Rohan and Bec went to check our home to see whether it is safe to stay or not. One tank was broken and the house was a bit cracked. It was not so damaged and dangerous to stay. So we planned to stay inside the house. We sat down in the garden and decided to cook dinner. Bandana and I, along with two people, cooked dinner and Simon and Sarika sis went to buy food so that we wouldn’t be starving because a number of people were telling us we will have less food soon. We had food around 8:00 and slept downstairs so that we could run fast when an earthquake comes. We all slept. Bec, Rohan and Ramraj bro were looking after us. The shaking was dangerous but we were the lucky ones as we survived.
