It was Saturday in the morning at 11:55 am and all the schools as well as colleges were closed. I was in a meeting with the scholarship children of Mitrataa Foundation with Bec and other staff. We were talking about different topics like relationships between schools and students, students and parents and duties of students. When we started to talk we felt that something is moving because the ground was shaking we didn’t know it was an earthquake. Patrick Wilson the principal of the school told us earthquake came. When we heard the word earthquake, all of us panicked and started to run outside into the garden.

Most of the parents were crying and the ground was full of crowds. I got busy encouraging them. All the people were crying and running here and there. We could see many people sitting on the road. All the parents were crying so we were busy controlling them. It was almost 1 pm but the shaking was still happening so the parents were scared to go home. Slowly they started to move and we got a chance to contact our family and friends. In our hostel there were a few friends so we called them to know if they were ok but we could not contact them. After a few hours we started to walk to our house.

We couldn’t find any taxi so we walked all the way home. All the girls were in the euro school ground so we met them and talked with them. We all were scared because Sabitri Pathak was not there, so we all were busy searching for her. She was with her brother Bikerna Shrestha. We called him and found out that she was with my friend. Me, Rohan and Nimu went to get her because she was scared and couldn’t come home by herself. We found her and brought her home. All of us were scared and panicked but we knew we should have something to eat so the girls cooked dinner and we all had dinner and got ready for bed. We were so thankful to Rohan and Bec because they were amazing and gave us sleep by looking after us. We were not so weak but we were not so strong as well. This is what I felt at the day of earthquake.
